Don’t Skip the Serum!

There is a reason why our 3-Step Skincare System has three steps. This is because each of the three steps work harmoniously with each other. Together they are a powerhouse of skincare protection. Our 3-Step Skincare System consist of:

  1. InflorEssence Facial Cleanser
  2. InflorEssence Serum
  3. InflorEssence Moisturizer

Most of you are already probably aware of, or have tried a cleanser and moisturizer in your skincare routine at some point or another (or we hope so at least!). But, perhaps you’re not as familiar with the middle step – our InflorEssence Serum. Whether you’re unfamiliar with serums, or you just haven’t had a chance to use one, it’s never too late to try something new. We’re laying out all the reasons why a serum is an essential step in your skincare routine.

So, what is a serum? A serum is an oil layer that is applied to you skin after you have cleansed your face. Due to the nature of the molecules in the serum, the formula is able to penetrate deep into your skin, delivering active ingredients and protective properties. This oil-soluble layer also acts as a base that helps to absorb your water-soluble moisturizer, giving your face the ultimate hydration that it needs.

The Altilis Beauty InflorEssence Serum contains many beneficial and protective properties for your skin such as powerful antioxidants, vitamin C and skin brightening properties. Additionally, our serum contains kukui nut oil which has been used by people in the Pacific Islands for thousands of years for dry skin, psoriasis and sun damage. Our formula will leave your skin feeling brightened, tightened and hydrated for an uplifted, radiant and youthful look.

A serum works on all skin types including sensitive, dry, combination, acne-prone and aging skin. It is recommended that you use the serum twice a day – in your morning and nighttime skincare routine. If your skin fairs on the oily side, don’t immediately dismiss the idea of using a serum in your skincare routine. Usually, if you have oiler skin it often just means that your skin is over producing its natural oils. When you start using a serum on a regular basis, it signals to your skin that you are already “producing” enough oil which will eventually help to balance your oil production. Thus, a serum is the perfect addition to everyone’s skincare routine.

Although some of you may be skipping the serum in your day-to-day skincare routine, we really encourage you to give it a try! Let us know what you think!
