Finding Your Skin Type

Your skin is influenced by a wide variety of factors including genetics, hormones, lifestyle, environment and eating patterns. Luckily, our Complete Skincare System is customizable to fit all skin types. However, in order to be able to customize your skincare routine, you have to first know which skin type category you fall into. Try out our flow chart to help you determine your skin type:

So now that you know your skin type, read below to determine how our 3-step skincare system can help you achieve glowing and radiant skin.

Normal Skin

An even complexion, little to no sensitivity and few imperfections are the main ways to determine if you have a normal skin type. However, even if your skin is relatively consistent, those of you with a normal skin type should still be establishing a regular skincare routine in order to cleanse the pores of bacteria, impurities and makeup that builds up throughout the day and provide the skin with all the essential nutrients required for aging prevention.

Sensitive Skin

Sensitive skin was the driving force behind the creation of the Altilis Beauty™  product line. Sensitive skin can be easily irritated which is why it’s important to find a gentle and effective skincare system. For this skin type, we suggest using our Complete Skincare System twice a day. Our skincare system is packed with plant-based and botanical properties to help reduce the appearance of redness, improve skin texture and provide essential nutrients and antioxidants to your skin.

Dry Skin

Dry patches and flaking skin are common characteristics of this skin type. Dry skin is caused by a depletion of the skin’s natural moisture. Our complete skincare routine is the perfect way to keep your skin looking and feeling hydrated and fresh. If you have this skin type, use all 3-steps in our skincare system twice a day. Our InflorEssence Serum is an oil-soluble layer that acts as a base, helping to absorb your water-soluble moisturizer – giving your face the ultimate hydration that it needs. Additionally, we recommend doubling-up on moisturizer in areas where you have extremely dry skin, such as eczema.

Combination Skin

As the name suggests, if your skin is a combination of oily and dry, you most likely have a combination skin type. Typically, the oilier part of the skin forms a “T-zone”. If you have combination skin, we recommend using our Complete Skincare System twice a day. However, limit the amount of serum you apply to the oiler areas.

Oily Skin

Oily skin typically develops a glossy shine by the end of the day. If you have an oily skin type you should use all 3 products in our complete skincare system in the morning. However, during your nighttime routine we recommend that you either double-up on cleanser, or use ½ the amount of serum. Through this process, you will remove any impurities and dead skin cells and balance out your skin’s natural oil production to ensure the perfect hydration level. If you find that you’re suffering from lots of breakouts – check out this face mapping article to see what may be causing your acne.

Acne Prone Skin

Acne prone skin is sensitive skin that often results in clogged pores, blemishes and breakouts. If you have acne-prone skin, we recommend using all three products in our complete skincare system twice a day. However, it is beneficial for you to double-up on moisturizer in any areas of your face that have active acne or scars. Our moisturizer contains an ingredient called Trans-Reveratrol which is an antioxidant that helps to reduce the appearance of redness and rosacea often associated with acne. Keep breakouts at bay with the powerful antimicrobial power of Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica) extract.

Aging Skin

Additionally, it is important to remember that our Complete Skincare System is very beneficial for aging skin. Because of breadfruit, our products contain powerful aging prevention and repair ingredients that help to hydrate and plump your skin, stimulate collagen growth and help to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and age spots.
